Me and my husband has went from living in a homeless shelter to income based living (where we are now) I live in the country (mountains) in eastern KY. We had a vehicle and the foodstamp office helped us do some work to it fixed. After which the motor goes out. We also have a 4 months old baby and in order for us to continue getting medical card and welfare ($262) one of the parents has to do the welfare to work program. My husband was doing the before the motor died and I was staying home with the baby. Now, we just got a letter in the mail today say my husband and I would no longer recieve medical card, and we would no longer be recieveing welfare. We live in the country, how is he suppose to walk to try to find a job. I dont know what else to do. The only thing that keeps me going anymore is my daughter. We have tried so hard to better our lives and it seems like theres no hope. If there is one person out there that can help us, even just one and even just a little i would be so greatful. Our phone bill is due on the 6th, so I hope to hear from someone b4 then or else it wouldnt do anyone any good to try and help us. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Im not 100% sure of the details, but she had a stroke either while they were doing the operation, or shortly after. After a while she couldn’t walk or do anything for herself. Karl managed to get her into an amazing hospital/clinic on Rivonia Road, Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa. The place is called Lourdes House. He visits her as often as possible.
