I'm so sorry that creating an account on any type of donation site makes you a target for those rip-off artists, but it does. I try to make everyone aware of the danger through the confirmation email that the system sends out when you sign up. Even someone who presents himself to you as wanting to help is very likely trying to steal from you. That's why it's safest to only accept donations through PayPal, and ABSOLUTELY NEVER give anyone any of your personal information such as mailing address, phone number, or bank account info.
