Not lazy, just bad luck!

Alice W.

I’ve been working as much as I could since I was 15. Coming from a lower-class family I know well the value of a dollar. I’ve saved much of my money and spent it on what was needed (i.e. a car, school supplies, helping my parents with bills). I’ve always put others first, gladly giving money to friends and family who needed it more than I did.

Now I find myself in a rut. As a young mother I wish nothing more than to be able to marry my boyfriend of 3 years, and raise my daughter in a real family setting, with the three of us under one roof.

We were engaged at one point, but due to money issues we could not afford a real wedding. We don’t want anything big but we both have an aversion to eloping. So the ring was sold to help us a get a car.

Just recently our car was totalled in an accident and the person who hit us fled the scene. Not having much money we only had liability insurance.

My fiance makes decent money as a brick-layer, but most of that money goes to pay bills and to necessities for our daughter. I’m currently waitressing and the money is unpredictable.

I’m absolutely positive that we can make things work if we could just get a boost to help us get on our feet. We need help to replace our car, get us an apartment and to get some basic appliances.

If you can help us with this then we can pinch pennies to slowly work our way getting married.

Thank-you so much for at least taking the time to read my story, may all your troubles be washed away due to your kindness.
